Greetings!
It is my pleasure to share with you that the International Grassland Congress (IGC) in association with the Range Management Society of India (RMSI) and three research institutes under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) viz. Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute (IGFRI), National Research Centre of Agro-forestry (NRCAF) and Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI) will jointly organize the XXIII International Grassland Congress (IGC) 2015 during November 20 to 24, 2015 at New Delhi. This will be the first time that IGC will be held in India. It will provide a rare opportunity for India, especially the National Agricultural Research System to showcase its grassland environments, R&D and technologies to an international audience.
The aim of the International Grassland Congress is to promote interchange of information on all aspects of natural as well as sown pastures for the benefit of mankind, including sustained development, forage production and the maintenance of biodiversity. The main theme of the congress is 'Sustainable Use of Grassland Resources for Forage Production, Biodiversity and Environmental Protection' with five sub themes:

The Inaugural Session of the XXIII International Grassland Congress will be held at Vigyan Bhawan on November 20, 2015, followed by the technical and scientific programme at The Leela Ambience Gurgaon Hotel & Residences from November 21-24, 2015.
